PokiTavern is built to keep your data on your device. The app itself collects nothing about you. This page explains exactly what that means, and the one small exception: the email you choose to give us for the iOS waitlist.
1.Who this covers
This policy applies to the PokiTavern mobile app (Android
and iOS) and to this website, poki.omate.net. PokiTavern is an
independent project and is not affiliated with the SillyTavern project.
2.What the app collects
Nothing. PokiTavern has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking SDKs. Your characters, chats, presets, world books, settings and API keys are stored only in a local database on your device. We operate no server that receives, stores, or sees this content.
3.Data you send to AI providers
When you start a chat, PokiTavern sends your prompt directly from your device to the AI provider you configured (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google), authenticated with your own API key. We do not proxy, intercept, or log this traffic — it goes straight to the endpoint you chose.
What those providers do with your prompts is governed by their privacy policies, not ours. Review the policy of whichever provider you connect to.
4.LAN serving
PokiTavern can optionally listen on your local Wi-Fi network so other devices you own can reach it. This is off the wider internet — traffic stays on your LAN, and only devices on the same network can connect. You control whether to use it.
5.App updates (Android)
The Android app checks for new versions by fetching a small manifest and
APK from st.omate.net, served over Cloudflare. As with any web
request, our CDN may process your IP address and User-Agent transiently to
deliver the file; we do not use this to build a profile of you and store no
analytics from it. The iOS app updates through the App Store and makes no
such request.
6.The iOS waitlist
If you join the iOS waitlist on this website, we collect the email address you submit, and nothing else about you. We use it for a single purpose: to send you an invitation when the iOS app becomes available for testing or release.
- What we store: your email, the date you signed up, and a one-way hash of your IP address (used only to detect abuse of the sign-up form — the raw IP is not kept).
- Where: a Cloudflare D1 database. The sign-up form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which may set a challenge token to confirm you are not a bot.
- Sharing: we never sell, rent, or share your email. It is used only to send the invite.
- Retention & deletion: we keep it until the iOS app has launched and invites are sent, then remove the list. You can ask us to delete your entry at any time — see Contact below.
7.Cookies & tracking
This website uses no advertising or analytics cookies. The only client-side token that may be set is Cloudflare Turnstile's, on the waitlist form, for bot protection.
8.Children
PokiTavern is not directed to children. Do not use the app or submit an email to the waitlist if you are under the age required to consent to data processing in your country.
9.Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
