PokiTavern ships on Android only for now. If you came here to install it on an iPhone, the honest answer is that you cannot today. What follows is what an iPhone or iPad can do in the meantime, and what the waitlist does with your address if you decide to leave it.
1.What actually exists right now
One app: PokiTavern 1.1.2 for Android 7.0 and newer, a 202 MB APK distributed from this site rather than a store. It runs a server implementing the SillyTavern 1.18 API inside the phone and serves that project's official frontend on top, which is the route the Android page compares against a Termux install and a remote server. That is the whole product. There is no second platform hiding behind a login.
2.What can an iPhone or iPad do today?
It can be a browser for someone else's Android phone. PokiTavern listens on the Wi-Fi network, so if an Android phone in the house is running it, Safari on an iPhone or iPad opens the address it serves and gets the full frontend, the same characters and the same chats.
- Install PokiTavern on an Android phone and open it.
- Tap the floating ball, then tap LAN access in the menu to copy the address, in the shape of
http://192.168.1.23:41520/. - Put the iPhone on that same Wi-Fi and open the address in Safari.
That is a real option if an Android device is already around, and LAN mode covers it properly. It is not an option if the iPhone is your only phone. Without an Android phone or a machine of your own running SillyTavern, there is nothing for Safari to connect to.
3.The waitlist, and what it is not
The form on the home page asks you for one thing: an email address. If an iOS build ever reaches the App Store, that address gets one message about it. No newsletter, no drip campaign, and it is not handed to anyone. Our privacy policy covers what the form keeps.
Worth keeping separate: this is a form on a website. The app itself collects nothing. Characters, chats and settings live in a database on your phone, and on the on-device model a prompt is never sent anywhere at all.
Leaving your address does not reserve a slot, grant early access, or buy a place in a queue, because none of those exist. It is a way to be told once.
4.Why there is no date here
Because we do not have one. A date on this page would be a guess dressed up as a plan, and the page would quietly rot past it. When the situation changes, this page changes, and the line at the top of it changes first.
PokiTavern is not affiliated with the SillyTavern project. SillyTavern is a separate open-source project and has not endorsed this app.
5.Common questions
Is PokiTavern on the App Store?
No. There is no iOS build yet, no App Store listing and no TestFlight link. Anything claiming to be PokiTavern for iPhone is not from us. The only shipping version is the Android app.
When will the iPhone version be released?
We have no date to announce, and we would rather say that than invent a quarter. If a build reaches the App Store, the waitlist is how you hear about it.
Can I use PokiTavern on an iPhone at all today?
Only through a browser. If an Android phone on the same Wi-Fi is running PokiTavern, Safari on the iPhone can open the address it serves. Without that Android phone there is nothing for the iPhone to connect to.
What happens to my email address on the waitlist?
It sits in a database until there is something to invite you to, and then it gets one email. No newsletter, no product updates, no sharing with anyone else. The privacy policy says the same thing.
Can an iPad run the on-device model?
Not through PokiTavern. On-device inference runs in the Android app, on the Android phone. An iPad reaching that phone over Wi-Fi is using the phone's model, not its own.
